The next morning I was told that Magnum was in serious condition at the hospital because he had wrecked his Porshe. I couldn't believe it. But it was true. He had such a great future ahead of him and it was cut short too soon...BUT
Many years later, I got to meet him and what a thrill - he was so sweet, kind and humble. Just felt so good to see him and know that he was ok. LORD! Still sexy as hell! Notice the big grin on my face...it took everything for me to stand up...LOL
It was a great time to see him and know that life went on for him and that he succeeded in life outside the ring...BRAVO!
I remember the night he was in the car accident. I believe it was the night there were matches at what used to be called The Original Charlotte Coliseum. I remember standing around in the parking lot waiting to catch a glimspe of the guys. I saw Sgt. Slaughter leave and Dusty Rhodes then Magnum. Lord he was so sexy in person. Just a tall drink of sexy. Then it happened..
